YOUR TREATMENT GOALS

Why Morpheus8 may be part of your plan

At Elysian, facial Morpheus8 may be considered when skin laxity, or looseness, is a concern alongside changes in texture. RF microneedling is used to improve the appearance of fine lines, texture and firmness. Your assessment helps establish which of those goals are realistic for your skin.

If texture is your main concern, standard microneedling may also be an option. Elysian’s recommendation depends on the concerns you want to address and your skin assessment.

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

Before your appointment

Share your history

Share your medical history, medications, supplements and recent treatments with the Elysian team. Include any history of cold sores. If you develop a breakout, cold sore or open wound in the treatment area before your appointment, call Elysian so the team can advise you about timing.

Check your skincare

Have the names of your skincare products ready, including any retinoids, so Elysian can clarify what to pause and when. For prescribed products or medicines, confirm any changes with the clinician who manages them.

Confirm your instructions

Elysian asks you to arrive with a clean face. Follow the preparation instructions provided for your appointment, and contact the team beforehand if you need a copy or want to confirm your arrival time.

AT THE CLINIC

How the appointment unfolds

Your facial Morpheus8 visit at Elysian includes time to discuss your skin, prepare for treatment and review aftercare. Here is how those steps fit together.

  1. Assessment

    Time varies

Talk with your Elysian provider about your skin, medical history and the changes you hope to see.

  2. Numbing

    45–60 minutes

Elysian allows 45–60 minutes for numbing to help make treatment more comfortable.

  3. Treatment

    About 20–30 minutes

Comfort varies, and treatment can be uncomfortable. Let your Elysian provider know how you are feeling throughout.

  4. Aftercare discussion

    Additional time

Review your home-care instructions and confirm how to reach the team with questions.

Elysian’s usual numbing and treatment times total roughly 65–90 minutes. Assessment, preparation and aftercare discussion add to that time.

What the treatment involves

Morpheus8 combines fine microneedles with radiofrequency energy. The needles deliver energy at selected depths, where it produces heat in the tissue. This is what distinguishes RF microneedling from standard microneedling, which does not add RF heat.

Use your Elysian consultation to discuss the improvement you are hoping for, the benefits and limitations of your options, and the risks and cost. You can also ask who will perform and oversee your treatment.

AFTER YOUR VISIT

Give your skin time to recover.

After microneedling, your skin may look red or feel uncomfortable, dry or flaky. Recovery varies with your skin and treatment settings. If you have an event coming up, discuss it with Elysian before booking so you can plan time for recovery and confirm when to resume your usual skincare.

Your Elysian aftercare plan

Daily skincare
How and when to cleanse, moisturize and use sun protection.
Products & makeup
When to restart active skincare and apply makeup.
Exercise & heat
When your usual activities and heat exposure can resume.
Follow-up
What to do if your skin is not recovering as expected.

Before leaving Elysian, ask for written instructions covering each of these steps, including when to resume them. Follow that individual plan rather than using this guide as a fixed aftercare schedule.

RECOVERY SUPPORT

Know how to reach us after your visit.

Before you leave Elysian, confirm which symptoms need prompt assessment and whom to contact during office hours and after hours. For questions about your instructions, call 317-245-6193. If you develop complications or unexpected symptoms, seek medical care promptly; following a skincare restriction should never delay getting help. For a medical emergency, call 911.

A note on RF microneedling risks

Alongside the intended skin improvements, RF microneedling has risks to discuss with your provider. The FDA has received reports of burns, scarring, fat loss, disfigurement and nerve damage with certain uses, including injuries requiring medical or surgical treatment. Read the FDA’s safety information.

LOOKING AHEAD

Will you need more than one session?

Elysian commonly recommends an initial course of at least three sessions, usually four to six weeks apart. The number and spacing depend on your assessment and response, and some patients may be advised to have further treatment. Discuss the proposed course, full cost and when to review your progress with the team. Results vary, so the plan should reflect your own goals and response.
