What facial Morpheus8 can help address.
Morpheus8 FaceAt Elysian, facial Morpheus8 may be considered when skin laxity, or looseness, is a concern alongside changes in texture. RF microneedling is used to improve the appearance of fine lines, texture and firmness. Your assessment helps establish which of those goals are realistic for your skin.
If texture is your main concern, standard microneedling may also be an option. Elysian’s recommendation depends on the concerns you want to address and your skin assessment.
Understand the difference before choosing.
Two treatments can sound similar while involving different effects and recovery. Compare the procedure itself, the person performing it and the plan for your skin.
RF Microneedling TechnologyWhat RF microneedling adds

Morpheus8 combines fine microneedles with radiofrequency energy. The needles deliver energy at selected depths, where it produces heat in the tissue.
For body concerns, ask about a separate assessment. Facial treatment information does not establish the right approach for another area.

RF or standard microneedling?
Standard microneedling creates small punctures without adding RF heat. Morpheus8 adds thermal effects, so its potential benefits, risks and recovery differ. More intensive treatment is not automatically a better choice.Compare the concern each treatment addresses

Your appointment and recovery.
At Elysian, facial treatment usually involves 45–60 minutes of numbing followed by approximately 20–30 minutes of treatment. Assessment, preparation and aftercare discussion take additional time. Comfort varies, and treatment can be uncomfortable. Let your Elysian provider know how you are feeling throughout.
- Before your visit: Share your medical history, medications, skincare and previous procedures. If you develop a breakout, cold sore or open wound in the treatment area before your appointment, call Elysian so the team can advise you about timing.
- Recovery: Your skin may look red or feel uncomfortable, dry or flaky. Get individual instructions for cleansing, products, makeup, heat and exercise; recovery varies with your skin and treatment settings.
- Treatment course: Elysian commonly recommends an initial course of at least three sessions, usually four to six weeks apart. The number and spacing depend on your assessment and response. Discuss the proposed course, full cost and when to review your progress with the team.
Alongside the intended skin improvements, RF microneedling has risks to discuss with your provider. The FDA has received reports of burns, scarring, fat loss, disfigurement and nerve damage with certain uses, including injuries requiring medical or surgical treatment. Read the FDA safety information.
Before leaving Elysian, confirm which symptoms need prompt assessment and whom to contact during office hours and after hours. If you develop complications or unexpected symptoms, seek medical care promptly; following a skincare restriction should never delay getting help. For a medical emergency, call 911.
