Microneedling in Indianapolis for Smoother-Looking Skin
Microneedling uses fine needles to encourage collagen renewal. It can soften the appearance of acne scars and uneven texture, with changes developing gradually as your skin heals. Elysian uses Collagen P.I.N. for standard microneedling, a different treatment from Morpheus8 RF microneedling.

What Standard Microneedling Can Help With
Microneedling OverviewIndented acne scars and rough texture can make skin look uneven even when breakouts have settled. Microneedling may help improve their appearance, but it does not erase every scar or replace care for active acne. Fine lines and visible pores may also be part of the discussion. Your skin history and the type of concern matter more than choosing a treatment by name.
Choosing Between Microneedling Options
Standard microneedling, PRP facial and RF microneedling have different treatment steps and considerations. Adding another treatment is not automatically better.
The Microneedling ProcessStandard Microneedling
Collagen P.I.N. creates small, controlled punctures in the skin without adding radiofrequency energy. Treatment settings and suitability need an individual assessment. Tell your provider about active breakouts, skin irritation, cold sores, scarring history and current medicines.Mechanical needling without RF energy
Focused on skin texture and acne-scar appearance
Gradual change rather than an immediate transformation
Suitability assessed for your skin and health history
PRP Facial or Morpheus8?
A PRP facial pairs microneedling with platelet-rich plasma from your own blood. Morpheus8 adds radiofrequency energy and has separate recovery and safety considerations. Explore the dedicated pages to compare these treatments.PRP facial: a separate blood-derived treatment component

Planning Your Microneedling Visit
Leave room for recovery and for gradual improvement.
Before Your Visit
Preparation
Share your skincare, medicines and recent treatments. Ask which products to pause and when to restart them. Do not stop prescribed medicines on your own.
The First Two Days
Recovery
Elysian advises that redness is likely to peak around 24 hours. Avoid unnecessary touching of the treated area and hot saunas or heat for 48 hours. Many patients return to work in 24–48 hours; visible redness can last longer.
Looking After Your Skin
Aftercare
Follow your treatment-specific cleansing, skincare, makeup and sun-protection instructions. Contact the clinic for increasing pain, spreading redness, discharge or symptoms that are worsening rather than settling.
Judging Improvement
Results & Repeat Visits
Skin renewal takes time, and more than one visit may be discussed. Microneedling can cause temporary redness, swelling, dryness or pinpoint bleeding; infection, pigment changes and scarring are possible. Results and recovery vary.
